How It Works

Operations

TIDALkids meets one morning a week from 9:00am-12pm in Ellington, Connecticut.

We have a fall, winter, and spring semester with scheduled classes, field trips and parties throughout the year.

TIDALkids may accept new families who are recommended by a family currently attending the co-op. The co-op asks that it be done with the consideration of the vision, values and overall nature of the co-op.

Financial Commitment

Becoming a member of TIDALkids involves a monetary commitment of $150 per child and allows for the organization to provide supplies and activities for each member. Membership fees are non-refundable.

Membership to TIDALkids is renewed annually and covers the Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters.

Parent Expectations

We require families to make attending each week a priority. Becoming a member of TIDALkids means you are taking on the commitment to not only provide support to your child, but to the organization as well.

One parent/caretaker must accompany their enrolled child/children each week and be prepared to fully participate in their assigned task(s) for a given session. You are responsible for your children while they attend TIDALkids classes, field trips or activities.

Student Expectations

Fully participate with excellence in each class and activity, even if the class or activity is not particularly interesting to you.

Speak to one another with kindness and consideration.

Listen attentively when a teacher or another student is speaking.

Strive to act in a loving manner towards others, greeting others kindly, and making every effort to include one another.
